Sci Fi Films?

Hello all,

I am a bit of a movie fanatic. I love 80's comedy's and sci fi.

I am looking for some good fil;ms to watch when i have some downtime.

Can anyone recommend they're favorite sci fi film.

The last few i watched were

the arena (terrible but did enjoy it)
Europa report (very good film, with the guy from district 9)
Heavymetal (great soundtrack)
Alien (classic film, hard not to love)

Any suggestions guys?

That does look good. I have the first one here at home but haven't watched it yet.From the trailers i haveseen it does look very slick.

All I can think of right now.

Space odyssey is what kicked off my interest in sci fi i think. I have seen the second and enjoyed it but not as much as the first.

Blade runner, one of the best. Love that one.looking forward to the new one coming out soon.

The terminators and mad max are class.something i can watch again and again.

Forbidden planet. I have not seen this. I will add that to my list.

If you like sci-fi series, I would highly recommend watching "Farscape." It's a little bizarre at times but I loved it.

Thanks Rob, I will add that. The only series i watch at the moment is game of thrones. Always handy to have more i can get in to.

Ex Machina, Blade Runner, WarGames, Contact, The Terminator, Tron, E.T., The Matrix, Avatar, The Last Starfighter and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan are all excellent science fiction films you might enjoy.
