Hello everybody,

I don't know if anybody else has noticed but I definitely have. When you open Facebook on different devices, you can see the URL of the website as ''http://touch.facebook.com'' or '''http://m.facebook.com'' and it got me confused because I have no idea what these two mean. What are the differences between them? Is one better than the other? Does anybody know?

Thanks for your answers and help! :)

From what I am aware of, it all started back few years ago when java phone was still existing. Facebook has its own mobile version for less data ( low quality of pictures, limited numbers of display, unplayable video ). URL "m.facebook.com" stands for "mobile.facebook.com".
On the other hand, "touch.facebook.com" kicked in when touchscreen cellphones were launched. I think symbian phone were the ones who introduced touchscreen cellphones and they were the first ones to use such URL.
