Why should I choose iPad?

Hi guys,

I noticed that tablets are becoming one of the most widely used mobile devices in many parts of the world.
Looking around to check out these gadgets, I noticed there are tons of brands to choose from. But if I'm not mistaken, Apple's iPad seems to dominate the race. However, the specs which the other brands are offering is tempting enough, considering the price difference compared to iPad.

Guys, I need a little more insights on this.
Can you give me a reason why I should choose iPad over other brands of tablet?
