Google Analytics is a great free tool for tracking website performance, and it’s also helpful for easily finding broken links.

You can use Ahrefs to find the broken link of targeted websites. Ahrefs shows results of broken links with its anchor text, Which will be useful to know if your targeted link is suitable or not.

If you are looking for broken links you may as well target domains with loads of backlinks as doing it hard way. If look at expired names by back link keyword it is half the process. (I probably didn't answer or understand your real question)

  1. Log in to your Google Search Console account.
  2. Click the site you want to monitor.
  3. Click Crawl, and then click Fetch as Google.
  4. After Google crawls the site, to access the results click Crawl, and then click Crawl Errors.

Click on the diagnostic from the left menu and select crawling errors. 2 Select categories that are not found. 3 If available, click to view which page contains a broken link. 4 To ensure that the URL is indeed indexed on Google, copy and paste the URL into Google search and see if there are results that appear.
