Hi everyone,

I am looking for a bit of guidance on a domain name I currently own and may be interested in selling.

The domain is: tix.org

I would really appreciate any thoughts on what you feel a realistic market value might be, as well as any advice on how best to position or market it in order to achieve the strongest possible return.

Thanks very much in advance and I appreciate any insight you can share.

Paul

What industry are you targeting as the buyer ticketing platforms, events, resale sites? And is it currently developed or just parked?

Short domains like "tix.org" are valuable because they're easy to remember and type. "Tix" is clearly associated with tickets, so you'd want to market it to ticketing businesses or event platforms. The .org hurts the commercial value slightly (buyers prefer .com), but it's still desirable.

For pricing, comparable 4-letter .org domains sell anywhere from $5k-$20k+ depending on demand. Check recent sales on NameBio or DNJournal to get real benchmarks. To maximize value, list it on premium domain marketplaces (Sedo, DomainBroker, Afternic) and directly reach out to ticketing companies, they're your natural buyers. Emphasize the memorability and brand potential.
