I feel growing a page is not as easy as before, but good content, consistency, and knowing your audience still matter more than just following trends. What’s your experience?

I totally understand how you feel. Growing a page today isn’t as easy as it used to be, but the basics still matter the most. Sharing good, meaningful content, posting consistently, and really understanding what your audience wants will always make the biggest difference. Trends can help, but they won’t replace building a genuine connection with your followers. Pages that focus on value and authenticity tend to grow steadily and last longer.

Yes, social media marketing is definitely becoming more competitive now. Every year, more businesses, creators, and brands join platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn to promote their products and services.

Because of this, standing out is harder than before. I’ve noticed that brands now need better content, smart SEO, paid ads, and consistent posting to reach the right audience.

Yes, social media marketing is getting more competitive because more people and brands are creating content now.

Yeah, I feel the same honestly. It’s definitely more crowded now and growth isn’t as easy as it used to be. But you’re right. Good content and consistency still matter a lot. One thing that helped me is focusing more on building a small, engaged audience instead of chasing viral posts. Also replying to comments and DMs makes a bigger difference than people think. It’s slower, but feels more real and sustainable.

I agree with this. Growth definitely feels slower now compared to before, especially with how saturated most platforms have become. Trends can help with visibility, but they are not enough on their own. Understanding your audience and staying consistent seems to be what builds long term engagement. Have you noticed any specific type of content performing better lately?

consistency with good content still matter, but following what the audience really wants also matters

Yes, in today’s time, due to high competition, it’s not easy to grow a page. You need to create content based on proper research, trends, and competition. Only then can you survive in a competitive environment and grow your page.

Social media optimization is way harder than SEO. It's totally independent of Google and viral content is what moves the needle. Now, how can you always create viral content ? You can't. Psy launched Gangnam Style almost 15 years ago and was never able to make another hit.

What I want to point out is that you'll not be able to always please your audience with your content. You are a human being and you've got your limits. There are indeed a few exceptions like pastry and cooking pages which got way more firepower than any other niches out there. Ideas are endless, because people eat everyday and are always keen to try new things.

Can you make funny new jokes everyday if you have an entertainment page ? Can you always grab the attention of your entire audience if you are selling Tv's ? We must be realistic when setting up goals. Is the nature of our products/services interesting enough to grow or do we have to rely solely on a specific niche ?

Let me add a last point : when I was learning about digital marketing, community management was part of my course. The teacher back then explained us something about engagement rate. If you have 10k followers, but only 50 likes and 20 shares per post for several weeks/months, you should consider removing all inactive followers. Sounds harsh, but let that sink in and you'll realize there's a logic behind.
