If AI content is valuable, it can rank well, but low-quality, thin, or duplicated AI content can hurt your SEO.

Yes, it does. More and more people are getting loads of pages deindexed lately. Take what I'm going to say with a grain of salt, but I read somewhere that Google is targeting AI generated content and is improving his algorithm to find and penalize them. The same rule applies for AI generated websites. We had the same issue 15 years ago concerning directories.

Back then, directories were a trend and Google took action to stop the spam. Infographics became a trend a few years ago and it was so over-exploited that Google stopped giving them the same credit as before. There are other similar examples, but in short, people tend to over-spam new trends in digital marketing until it becomes has-been and penalized/ignored by Google.

This is just an endless loop. Google wants quality content. Even if AI does a good job at it, very few people read what they generate before posting it. So, yes AI content does affect SEO and it will obviously be ignored or given little credit in the future IMHO.

AI-generated content does not negatively affect SEO rankings if it is original, high-quality, and helpful to users. Search engines like Google focus more on content quality, relevance, and user experience rather than how the content is created. Well-optimized AI content with proper keywords, readability, and valuable information can rank effectively in search results. However, low-quality, spammy, or copied AI-generated content may harm rankings and reduce website credibility. Combining AI assistance with human editing is the best approach for strong SEO performance and better audience engagement.

Yes, Google can penalise your website, if only the content in your website is spammy, copied or AI generated. But Chill out, It can also solved just by optimizing your content on your website and If you want to use AI generated Content, so make it more relevant and optimized according to the SEO. Hope you find this helpful✨

AI-generated content itself does not automatically hurt SEO rankings. What matters most to search engines like Google is the quality, originality, usefulness, and trustworthiness of the content. Low-quality or mass-produced AI spam can absolutely damage rankings, but well-written AI-assisted content that provides real value to readers can perform very well in search results.

In reality, most businesses are already using AI in some form for outlining, research, optimization, or drafting. The bigger issue is whether the content sounds generic, repetitive, lacks expertise, or fails to answer user intent. Search engines are becoming increasingly focused on helpful content, real experience, credibility, and engagement signals rather than simply how the content was created.

For companies investing in SEO long term, the best approach is usually human-guided AI content. That means using AI to improve efficiency while still adding real-world expertise, unique insights, accurate data, narrative flow, and original perspectives. Content that demonstrates authority and solves actual problems tends to outperform thin AI-generated pages over time.
