What’s the hardest niche you’ve ever ranked in?

I’ve been curious about this lately — what’s the hardest niche you’ve personally tried to rank in through SEO, and why was it so difficult?

Was the challenge due to heavy competition, insane backlink requirements, Google updates, YMYL restrictions, AI-generated saturation, or something else entirely?

I’d also love to know:

• How long it took to see results
• What strategy actually moved rankings
• What mistakes hurt performance the most

Would be great to hear real experiences from people who’ve worked in difficult niches like finance, health, SaaS, casino, crypto, legal, etc.
