I’ve been curious about this lately — what’s the hardest niche you’ve personally tried to rank in through SEO, and why was it so difficult?

Was the challenge due to heavy competition, insane backlink requirements, Google updates, YMYL restrictions, AI-generated saturation, or something else entirely?

I’d also love to know:

• How long it took to see results
• What strategy actually moved rankings
• What mistakes hurt performance the most

One of the hardest niches to rank in is the finance and health industry because they have high competition, strong authority websites, and strict Google guidelines. It requires high-quality content, strong backlinks, technical SEO, and consistent optimization to achieve top rankings.

High priced SaaS software tools are heavily saturated with giant media sites and fast AI-generated articles. We only saw real traffic after a full year by making deep, manual product videos that AI tools cannot clone.

I have narrowed the niche, but I didn't narrow it down as much as I should have. Because of that, it means I have to work a little harder.
