What would a better social media platform look like?

Current social apps have major issues: echo chambers, content theft, algorithms ruling, and poor creator rewards.

How great would it be if these issues were battled in these platforms?

There's a project that's trying to solve them though. Bleep! is one project trying to tackle all three pillars at once; anti-radicalization through randomized pagination, authenticity via NFTs, and monetization rights for all users regardless of size.

Would love to hear what features you think are most important for the next generation of social platforms

I think transparency and user choice are just as important as new technology. Instead of forcing one algorithm, users should be able to choose between a chronological feed, an interest-based feed, or AI recommendations. Creators should also have clear ownership of their content, fair monetization, and insight into why their posts are being promoted or limited. A platform that builds trust - not just engagement - would have a much better chance of long-term success.
