Which colors on landing page for better sales?

I have heard a lot about color theory and research suggests that using the correct colors can boost up sales and signups?
Can anyone help me on that? the product is an apparels for males aged 13 to 40 and location is UK.
Would love to have your input.

I read an article recently that said blue is best for shopping sites without any current specials running, while a red background is better if you are running an OTO.

Personally I don't think that is there any color logic behind this....I think content and its design matters....

Yes color theory effect of a loading page. An effective website is must for online success. You have to use color according to their choices. There is a different meaning for every color for example:
Blue stands for trustworthiness,
Yellow is seen as a youthful,
Red is a very physical color,
Green is the color of wealth.
