What colors should I use for landing pages?

I am learning to create a first opt-in page and am just wondering which What colors should I use for my landing pages?

I should use dark or light colors and which color for website background?

All your suggestions are welcome.

Use flat color for getting higher ROI. It can be anything. But you should learn something about UX.

You can use any colors depending upon the theme of your website. You also need to make sure that the contrast of the color should be adjusted so that your page visitors find it easy to read through the text and can find easily what they are looking for. This will help visitors to stay on your webpage for longer and surf around reducing the bounce rate for your website.

I am always torn between using colors that convey trust (Blue for example) and those that match your brand. To be honest, I have been using colors that match my brand which includes, Blue, Orange, Red and a host of other colors.
