Which email marketing newsletters are most effectve html vs simple text?

Hello guys, I need opinion from you all that what is the most effective method for sending emails HTML or simple text? Personally I like HTML newsletters for sending emails to my customers because almost 90% of the people like to interact with their customers through an HTML email campaign message because it is very effective as compared to simple text message.


So tell me what is your choice..............

In my views with newsletters that I received then 90% html newsletters are effective now. you can include hyper links into your mails, images, or emails, html tags..it helps interactive with readers better.

Personally I'd like to give the option to subscriber to select text/html emails. It is not your interest.... it wil be your subscribers interest to receive emails in their interested format. So better give the option during their sign ups for text/html emails.

Isn't sending both html and text better for deliverability? Send both just incase some people can't get html emails.

I prefer the html format instead of only simple text because the html content looks pretty and attract the people to see it. Simple text newsletters don't get too much attention of the people and hence most of the email marketer fails to get good results with a simple text newsletter.

Great thing with HTML is that you can have sidebar adverts to promote your product. I send text because I feel its more personal.
