Hi there,

I have a small issue when I edited a file content on my FTP program, I couldn't save file and when CMOD it to 777 then it showed a File transfer log box below
Request denied.
Please verify that the file or folder exists and that you have the necessary permissions on the server to perform the requested operation.
What cause this problem and how to solve it?
Anyone can suggest me

Have you VPS?

If yes, try to login as root on your server, with FTP, and try to change file permissions then.

Else, if you are hosted on a shared server, then you could contact your hosting provider, because you depends on their server settings.

Hope this help!

yeah I'm amazing when I created a FTP account for a friend to use hosting on my VPS but, when I tried to edit file, it was not possible.
Change file permission to 777 then showed as mentioned above

this error happened on CuteFTP program but when using as root on filezilla then everything's ok.
