How long should the length of an article be?

I have made a blog regarding web design tutorials, nowadays I am writing articles (250 words) for my own blog. I want to know how long should the length of an article be from SEO point of view?

why people like 1000 words? I think more content will help bounce rates decrease because we can keep our readers stay longer on our website, is it right?

There is not any limit of article.. It depends on you in how many words you provide the perfect content to your reader that fully satisfied there trust and they don't need to go elsewhere for more details and resource.

Making articles to long to read turn off readers big time. If you want your readers to actually read the article it needs to be 400-600 words max

I think character length of article must be minimum 400 words and you can expand it to 1000 or more words. Article content must be unique.
