I think its internal linking that you are referring for. :think:
It is recommended for better SEO because you are guiding your visitors with an in-depth information from the internal links of the site's content. :thumb:

The inline link refers to a linked object, often an image, using the address of the file posted on a website, on a web page from another site. In other words, instead of saving the image and installing it on their own web server, the hotlinker creates an inline link to the original server. The site is said to have an inline link to the site where the object is located.

In-line linking refers to a link within a web page which causes content from another website to be automatically loaded onto the web page. To the user, the content from the other website appears to be part of the web page.

Inline linking is also known as hotlinking, leeching, piggybacking, direct linking. In this we use linked object, often an image, from one site from a web page belonging to a second site.
