SEO Guest posting in 2015, is it still good?

I surfed some forums and seeing more SEO people buying guest posting on different blogs
Does g00gle still consider guest posting as an important point in SEO and rankings for your keywords?

Guest posting is very useful for SEO ,but in 2015 it will more important for SEO.

Personally I would avoid article directories completely... They have all been hit by G and the few that have survived like ezines only provide a nofollow link.... When was the last time you saw an article directory ranking on the serps?

Further the use of author bio sig should also be avoided - as you're basically telling G that you are gaming the serps with attempting to get a backlink with use of guest posting.... A very obvious footprint...

Guest posting still works - but you need to focus on getting your articles on authoritative sites which are getting great traffic and ranking on the serps... The link juice received will for sure give your site a boost...

With the guest post I would only drop one link to my money site within the body of the article together with some dud ones which point to other authoritative sites such as wikipedia etc... That way its not obvious to G's algo.... Finally also stay away from sites where it is obvious that there are a lot of guest postings, especially in exchange for payments.... as they can easily tumble and worse impact your site negatively on the serps when hit with a penalty either algorithmically or manually issued by G's webspam team...

Guest posting is good but only when it is done on a good site. It has been losing its value since 2013 but people still carried it out as Google gave some importance to it. However, 2015 might be different. But I do believe that old school link building will be more effective this year.

Guest posting or having registered members to post on your website is going to improve your ranking as long as those posts have to do with your articles or the overall website content. Even in 2015.

As far as Guest Posting is concerned, I believe that it will always remain one of the fundamental signals for SEO. They have to be done right though, as explained by Sid, Nick, Hassan, and Kevin. All excellent points.

Guest posting in terms of Article directories or posting on other low quality sites? That will not help.

Guest posting is always a better option for seo. If your post selected on High PR sites, then it will be very useful for you.

Guest Posting is an great option for SEO. It helps in Link building. Post all your unique articles on high PR sites. Also it will help your website for improve the ranking.

I wouldn't use guest posting for SEO, all the top internet marketing website I used to guest blog on got hit very bad and after removing my links on their websites and relying on social media my rankings have improved big time.

So I wouldn't use guest posting for SEO but instead I would use it to build a relationship with the blog owner so that they can help me promote my stuff in the future.

Yes, as other said, Guest posting is good seo technique only, but you need to do that on the quality sites.
