Best SQL App?

A lot of people use phpMyAdmin for developing and testing their SQL queries and database management. I always thought it was clunky, ugly, and slow. Their new version is a lot sexier, but still feels/looks somewhat clunky/bloated to me. Also, it isn't a standalone app. But it is free.

I like and personally use SQLyog. I used to use Navicat a long time ago and it was good too. There is also Redgate SQL Prompt, but it looks pretty pricey. I'd think you'd have to be a professional DBA or doing some serious SQL work to justify paying for it.

Navicat: [URLnf="http://www.navicat.com"]http://www.navicat.com[/URLnf]
Redgate: [URLnf=http://www.red-gate.com/products/sql-development/sql-prompt]http://www.red-gate.com/products/sql-development/sql-prompt[/URLnf]

What is your favorite SQL app?

Navicat Pro is always my best choice, friendly with users. But in any cases, I used php myadmin as an alternative. I have not ever used webyog and red-gate so I don't know how it works and any advantages it can give me.

Navicat is easy to use simple and self explanitory but disadvantages is very slow and ramdom errors that dont explain anything. while Sqlyog is very fast Easy to manually execute queries and Easy to read errors and fix only disadvantage is people find it confusing.

I completely forgot why I switched from Navicat -- it was so long ago. But that's good to know. I'd have thought they'd fixed their stuff since 2006.

Thank you for this information!

I would like to add that there is one more great tool - ( dbFroge SQL Complete by Devart) that can speed up SQL code writing, offer context-based smart suggestions, perform automatic formatting and refactoring, improve code readability, increase productivity, lower costs.
