I'm using a PC 20 inches for my work, I'm going to change its screen to a bigger one, like 28 inches. But I thought about buying a Laptop, it can more convenient for my work when I go out home...like I work at a cafe internet...etc

what types of computer are you using, Laptop or PC?
and in your point of view, which is better for work?

Please give me a share

I use a laptop with and additional monitor hooked up to it plus a wireless mouse (as I prefer that over the mousepad)... and whilst at my desk it feels the same as a PC but with all of the advantages of being portable!

Hello Liliana!

Obviously, if you are going out many times a day and you still want to work on Internet Marketing, writing documents, chatting with your friends on Facebook then a mid-end laptop will do the work.
However, if you stay at home most of the times then you should simply buy a tablet that will help you do all the basic document editing & posting work.

Just ask and answer the following question; do you want portability or high performance?

I'm familiar to PC than a laptop and high performance for entertainment.

I don't think a tablet is faster in editing or posting work. what are the reasons?

It's not the desktop PC that you are familiar with but the conditions under which you are using it as well as the equipment size and performance. In other words, you are not familiar but more comfortable with your desktop PC keyboard, mouse, monitor and Operating System.

I am basing my assumptions based on what you've told me regarding being out of home or at a cafe and such. Your primary aim is the convenience of having a computer at those places as well as be able to easily continue working uninterrupted. In this case, a laptop is your best bet since it offers both portability and mid-end performance which is more than enough for word processing and entertainment purposes.

A tablet isn't necessarily faster in editing documents and making posts (depends on your WPM rate [Words Per Minute]) but it's extremely portable and you can use it for movie entertainment as well as for some word processing, web and email surfing as well as playing some iOS or Android mobile games.

I use both a laptop and my desktop {Mac for the win}. But honestly, I prefer my desktop. To answer your OP, I think it depends on the person, their business model, and plain personal preference.

I'm a constant traveler, so I'd go with a laptop. I'm using a Lenovo X230, kinda heavy but also heavy duty. Anyway, I'm more into writing so this serves me well.

Hello, Liliana and hello everyone.
I using PC. But, I prefer Laptop more than PC. Cause Laptop are compact more than PC and with code or no code they work. And you can use laptop for business or for fun wherever you go.
Unfortunately I don't have laptop but I would like to have one. for my business.

I personally have both, the laptop can be great for business trips or just loafing around the house. But I also have a desktop which has 2 screens and I love it. It make work a lot easier when i can have multiple things open and ready to go. I even contemplate having 3 or 4 screens sometimes.

I prefer to use my laptop, it is more flexible and comfortable to use than PC's. I am using right now a Dell laptop which I will probably change in a year or two.

In past 4-5 years I used only Laptop, but I guess it also depends on what you need it for.

I would say that strictly for work - a laptop is the best solution. You're mobile + it serves you

For work we're given desktops to use in office. If we work from home, laptops. I prefer desktops. Laptops are nice, but they don't have nearly as much power or functionality.

I find that a laptop is better and that is simply because of the portability of it. However you may want one that has a good battery life because you don't want it to run out, especially if you have no electrical outlets available to you.

In this household, We have 2 Pcs, A few laptops, and 2 tablets. It just all depends on what we are trying to and where we are at/going. My fiancee mostly uses his PC, where as I use the laptop(which I need a new one ;)). Sometimes if we are going to a friends house or something we will take the tablets with us to conduct business. They are a bit easier to cart around than laptops.
Really, I guess it all just depends on your personal prefrences as well as what you are trying to do and where

I prefer using my laptop. Partly because my PC is outdated and... kinda sucks, while my laptop is nice and portable. Also, I feel more comfortable with my laptop as opposed to using my PC.

I prefer both are good in its own way. When i'm doing my office work i prefer laptop specially because it is quiet portable. And when I'm in my home I prefer PC as i love to play PC games in my free time.

Apple is the way to go! My MacBook pro SSD will beast any Windows desktop.

But talking about Apple desktops and the garbage pail they recently released, nothing compares.

So it doesn't matter as long as it's Mac. YOu'll get a good 6 months out of a Windows PC though.

I am gonna have to agree with ericplotz1, I own a apple imac & have had it for nearly 4years, with just simple updates & upgrade - which is your standard to keep a system running healthy!

I have used windows machines in the past & always have to do something for them, as they either slowing down & grinding or simply crashing! Not w/ a mac, just perfect!

So I am gonna say imac desktop all the way here!

I am using Laptop. I think Laptop is better than PC for working. But you are looking for 28 inch screen, I don't think you will find a Laptop with 28 inch screen.
Laptop is really effective specially when you are traveling. This is the reason why I vote for Laptop.
