Hi Neville,

I've kind of good experience with PLR.
I'll share my experience here.

1) It's depend on the niche you're involved with. If IM niche, there're lots of the same/similar products out there..you have to work harder in establishing the PLR product such as give more powerful BONUS. SO that people will choose your offer instead of others.

2) It's better if you can REBRAND it to other/new name with new graphics, sales letter, & so on. This will make it more UNIQUE at the first sight of your readers/visitors.

3) Use email marketing coz it works for me for this kind of product. This way you have more chances in presenting to your subscribers that you & your product are "real guy" for their resource.

4) I nearly forgot this one, it should be NUMBER 1 from this list. Make sure it's a HIGH QUALITY PLR product. We want to help others while at the same time we receive "payment" for our services. How to make sure that it's a HIQH QUALITY product?

The way to do this is by making sure that the product really deliver the promises. If the product is about weight loss, it MUST give real advice @ knowledge on how to loss weight.

No. Niche sites {1-10 page sites targeting 1-3 keywords or a single topic AKA thin sites} are outdated and you should not even bother creating them.

PLR content is less than Vanilla content and its very low quality. It's vague, generalized, and useless. The only people making money with PLR are the ones selling it to other marketers. Using PLR content {unless you completely overhaul it, which is not cost effective} will not help you sell anything.

I encourage you to NOT use PLR content and to NOT create thin affiliate sites {niche sites}. Doing so will most likely result in failure.

PLR content indeed has its uses... and that for me has nothing to do with using it as content for my websites as mentioned by The Overseer... I use them as free give away ebooks/reports/videos/audios etc, provided they are good quality... or as bonuses to another product... There is indeed a lot of crappy PLR products out there, saying that I've also found some awesome high quality ones which have helped a lot with list building... An alternative approach could be to use as part of a membership site or to develop your own product... Either way my point is to keep PLR out sight from search engines as its duplicate content and does nothing for your rankings....

If you use PLR it needs to be written a different way. I personally would use plr only for ideas or thoughts to incorporate into my own article, similar to researching information on the web.

I also agree it's best purpose is for a free giveaway. If you are the person receiving the information you want some good information that helps solve a problem or shines light on something, so give something with value.
