What is Schema and it can improve search rankings?

I heard about Schema but I don't know what it is?
And it can improve search rankings for my website?

If you don't know what a schema is wrt context of websites I would not worry about it... In general terms its a way to organize data... In programming terms it relates to organizing your data into related tables which is referred to as relational data or hierarchical under xml schema... Its uses range from data interoperability between platforms as well as site maps, which would be more relevant to most websites in this case.... Suffice to say you can read more [URLnf="https://schema.org/"]here [/URLnf]for starters... it helps with understanding but that does not equate to improve rankings on the serps... For that you should focus on quality backlinks, engaging content i.e. reduce your bounce rates and CTR etc....

It will be very useful to show rating to our website in google search results. But i don't it is still effecting, earlier it is used to effect in 2-4 weeks, now i kept 2months back still no result.

If you are running an ecommerce website, then in search results it will show rating, that happens with this schema.
