Hey WMS members, I have a question about private blog network.

If my domains have privacy protection, do I need to host them in different hosting companies in order to stay safe from search engines like Google? Is it a must to host them on different hosting companies?

Additional advise is much appreciated as well.

Yes indeed! I would use a different domain registrar and hosting company... Also use different platforms i.e. mix it up and not wordpress for all of them especially if your money sites are wordpress - in fact I prefer using static HTML as well as other platforms...

These are all footprints that you want to minimize (even common use of multiple plugins across sites is a footprint)... Also dont use Analytics or ad platforms which link sites... etc...

The aim of a PBN is to keep them highly private... also make sure to mix up your out bound links as you dont want the only ones going to your money site... The aim of a PBN is to make it look 100% natural that a website provided a link to your money site...

Another great tip is to use the wayback machine to examine domains and content as part of the buying process as well as resurrecting old content....

It is not entirely a must to host them on different hosting companies.

Here is what I mean.

As I am building a network, I am using different hosting companies for each site. However, as the network gets bigger and bigger (40, 50... 100 sites), I will loop back around to hosts I have used previously for that network.

The important thing is you do not want to end up on the same server. If you loop back around a few months later, chances are the host has sold out the server you first bought hosting on and is filling up another server. That is especially true with the more popular hosting companies out there.

The other thing to keep in mind is where the sites are linking. I will put network sites on the same hosting account if they are not linking to the same places.

Say I build a network that deals with fitness. I build another network around finance. I don't mind putting a fitness and a finance site on the same hosting account together because they are never going to link to the same sites.
