It really depends on your niche. I was pushing a Netflix type of service on there as an affiliate before and had some moderate success (roughly 35% ROI). However, when I applied a similar strategy to my article selling business, I ended up throwing $500 down the drain and only got a couple customers out of it.

It will give you instant traffic, after some time this will the number of likes drain automatically because the likes which are coming are mostly fake likes and that only increase numbers. So, work on organic traffic.

It really depends on your niche. If your audience is not targeted enough then most of the time it's a waste of money.
If you could target very tight then you can get some good profit out of it.

Especially retargeted promotions work very well.
