WordPress popup plugin ( when closing popup, a new tab is opened with a link)

Hello guys,

I am looking for a wordpress plugin for popups with a certain functionality - when popup's close button (x) is pressed, i want a link to be opened in a new tab of the browser.

if u happen to know such plugin please reply. if there is no such plugin then what is the solution? to create plugin(which is kinda hard for me) , or to just enter code of popup (managable for me) in the php header file of the page?

It looks like a custom plugin than existing plugin out there to solve your problem.

Do you know about javascript and CSS? If yes, then creating a popup with html/css and javascript and control which will show next when close button is closed (Button event).

yep, i know css, and javascript. making pop-up is not a problem, making plugin is a problem(i tried editing existing plugin, but got 500 internal error). now i am studying php, i have read that in order to make a plugin u gotta know php. after getting some knowledge in php, i will take plugin tutorial.

500 internal server error? did you check your htaccess file?

This error didn't relate to your codes.

To create a popup and showing some things after close it, you don't need to create a plugin for that, it's waste.

how do i create one then? if not plugin what should i do? edit theme header php?
i have read wordpress 500 error is caused by theme and plugin compatibility issues. the error occured when changing plugin code. changed it back the way it was before and error was gone. thanks
