I deal primarily with digital goods, so, any CTA with NO
mention of any type of payment whatsoever tends to
work best...

  • Download Now
  • Grab Your Copy Now
  • Read Now
  • Install Today
  • Give Me Instant Access
  • Show Me The Video
  • Teach Me Now
  • I'm Ready To Learn
  • Get Started Today
  • Get Yours Today
  • Let Me In
  • Get Instant Access
  • Access My Copy Now
I find, too, that blues of all kinds, tend to do well as
far at button colors go. For a while there, orange was
the craze. Even then, I always found blues converted
better (for me anyways, and all my split testing proved
it as well).

Whenever I had to include "purchase" or "buy" related phrases,
I also found that "ONLY" instead of "JUST" helped sell more items
as well "Purchase Now -- Only $99.95" instead of "Purchase Now
For Just $99.95"

And since the topic is "CTA Formula's", not just buy buttons,
I'll also throw this in as well. Iironically, during my split testing,
one thing that I found that actually KILLED my conversions
was phrases such us "I understand I'll receive instant access,
even if it's X:XX in the morning..." so, I stopped using such
phrases, for the most part, anyways.

Now, its important to know however, what I mention above is
based on MY split testing for MY products on MY sites. Since
YOU want to know what may work best for YOU, I strongly
suggest and advise that you do some of your own testing to
see what will work best on YOUR site with YOUR offers...
(if you need/want any help, message me, I'd be happy to help)

As Developer mentioned, the best CTA's are the ones that convert the best for YOU. Well, you know that. Just see so many people that do not test and track, it can make such a difference. Guilty of it myself.

Plus, people don't realize how many CTA's there are, such as submit buttons for opt-in forms or boxes, social sharing, ect. Guess if you wanted to be very smart, everything that can be clicked on our sites should be tested and tracked. When possible :)

Course depends on the market or niche, different hot buttons, different triggers and different emotional words for different markets and groups.

As I've said quite often, split testing is KEY to anyone's success, online or off. Split testing has many benefits. A small few of which are:

1. Helps improve the design and flow of your offers
2. Gives you answer's you would not have gotten ANY other way
3. Tell's you EXACTLY what works and what doesn't.

I probably spend more time testing my offers than I do creating the product, designing the sales page and configuring the entire funnel, LOL, BUT, it works and never lets me down.

Even the best copywriters test their copy.

See so many people guess, or "think" they know what's best. Often you can be quite surprised at what converts best.

You know what happens when you assume. :)

You hope and pray you're right??? (Did I guess it, did I guess it, LOL...)
Often you can be quite surprised at what converts best.
I've actually stumbled upon a couple cases that ASININE-LY SIMPLE things made the difference between 10 sales and 100 sales. Things as simple (and stupid) as using a period versus an exclamation mark. Or, better yet, the difference spelling a number can make versus using the actual numbers... Again, all info I would have never know, and would have NEVER GUESSED in a million years, had I not done some testing.

Well, it is the Old Odd Couple show, when Felix says when you assume, you make an ass out of you and me. Something like that. Doesn't seem to fit as well now that I type it out :) Guess you gotta see it.

But, any one that does any testing will know, that often what you "think" will convert, doesn't. And what you think won't convert does.

A while back I remember a marketer talking about testing squeeze pages. Most every copywriter, copywriting book, or those only regurgitating what they've heard, testing is always done by only changing one element at a time. Makes complete sense.

But this marketer does it differently, by testing radically different versions. Said it get's him to the higher converting versions quicker. I have not done it myself, but thinking I need to.

Testing one element at a time can take a long time to get to the sweet spots, more so if you don't have much traffic.

Just a thought and idea :)

So, where is this case study? Seem a PM is in order :)

LOL, I remember when I was a kid, my mamma would
always say "Never assume anything. It makes an ass
out of you and me."

I'd always turn around and say something sassy like
"Nah, just you...", LOL. There I went, back to being
grounded for a few more days, lol, good times, good
times. ;)

I have a slew of case studies I will be posting up on
my newest blog in the next few weeks. I will let you
know once I get the site up and running.

By the way Ron, here's [URLnf="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfvTwv5o1Qs&feature=youtu.be&t=22"]something you'll appreciate[/URLnf],
LOL.

I should have known there was a clip of that on the youtubes. Should have posted it. You stole my punchline jerky.

Thanks for posting that. Also watched some out takes, funny stuff. Tony was pretty cool and fun. Actually I have that show set up on DVR. Usually get a episode recorded a week.

Or you could PM me the study, or a link, instead of me waiting forever. :)

I don't remember exactly the name of sender but the closing words as Happy Selling. I found this one really unique and captive.

People usually waits for offers and discounts. So I think nothing is best to give offers for limited period or remaining some items.
Like discount applicable for only 1st 50 orders.
