This is a guide for how to get virtually any keyword on the first page of Google within about 3 minutes using Reddit.

I recently posted this video on here that shows how to do it, but this is MY version of it, with my own adaptions to improve its speed and impact.

Basically, Reddit is a very high authority site and it's crawled by Google like mad. So things get crawled and indexed on Reddit FAST!

Here's How to Do it
Things to note before we start.
  • This works best with old Reddit accounts that have a lot of Karma.
  • However, you can still do this with new accounts just the same.
  • This works best when you create your own Subreddit which anyone can do.
You will want first to have a long-tail keyword in which you want to rank on 1st page SERP results for.

Let's say you want to rank for the longtail "how to get my puppy to jump on me". The more obtuse and random the keyword the better here.

Then what we do is go to Reddit, sign in or create an account.

Click the "Submit a new text post" button. NOT The submit a new link button!

For the Title, that wants to be the long tail you're targeting, so for the purpose of this tutorial, we'll use "how to get my puppy to jump on me".

Then you need to fill in the description area with some text. You will want to write something here of around 100 words that contain the long tail as a clickable link.

To do that you can use this code [reddit!]([URLnofo]https://reddit.com[/URLnofo]) replacing reddit! with your text and https://reddit.com with your link.

Example [How to get my puppy to jump on me]([URLnofo]https://mydogtraining.com[/URLnofo])

For the purpose of this tutorial, I'm going to link to a random Youtube video about dog training (I'm sure they wont mind)

Here's the submission I've created https://www.reddit.com/r/puppytraining/comments/45vtcp/how_to_get_my_puppy_to_jump_on_me/

It was placed in a new Subreddit I made https://www.reddit.com/r/puppytraining/

Now all we need to do is submit that Reddit submission to Google URLnofo submit. Also we want to submit the shortened link too.

Go to https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url and submit the Reddit link.

Also if you copy the shortlink it will look like this https://redd.it/45vtcp

You need to modify that so it looks like this https://reddit.com/45vtcp

Then submit that to Google new URL submit page as well.

Now go to http://googleping.com/ and ping the submission URLnofo (this speeds up crawling)

Now go to [URLnofo]http://pastebin.com/[/URLnofo] and write some random text, doesn't have to be long, make sure to include the longtail and the link to the reddit submission like this.
Also make sure to use the long tail as the title.

Click on the "Create New Paste" button. Then do the captcha and then grab the link.

This will be http://pastebin.com/D8tJzsmY for me

Then submit that to Google URLnofo submit and ping it too.

There are a couple more things you can do to speed up crawling/indexing.

I use [URLnofo]http://verify-www.com/[/URLnofo] to verify the link exists. Also [URLnofo]http://urlquery.net/[/URLnofo] and [URLnofo]http://www.facebookog.com/[/URLnofo] for good measure.

Of course, you don't have to use these sites, and you could use sites like them.

But that's pretty much all you need to do from now.

Now Let's Check Ranking Positions

First thing to do is do a manual search in a browser where you aren't logged into Google.

So open Chrome or something that you never done this work in.

Go to Google and search for your keywords you used. See where it is ranking.

You can also use a free online serp checker. I usually use whatsmyserp but been hitting it hard a lot lately and have met a tempo block.

There are others though.

Here's a couple screenshots of Google after this.

17.jpg

number1.jpg

The first was in quotes. The second was just the long tail.

It's ranking #17 for that. But near the end of the day, that will probably move up a few positions.

These are probably not the best examples, but the point is, this can be done with virtually ANYTHING.

I've done it many many times for different things and got them ranking on Google 1st page and within the top 10 for MANY things.

Some Tips

  • Just don't overdo it!
  • Don't go OTT on this!
  • Don't spam with it!
  • Just do it every now and then for different things.
  • Works better if the accounts used have a lot of Karma.
  • You can buy them on Fiverr and get Reddit +1's.
Well I hope you like it and find it useful to you.
You can make a lot of money from this if you do it right!

You also get a dofollow contextual link from Reddit if anything.

Let me know if you have any questions about anything. :)

Mike.

Good that work for you.
But want to ask if my keyword's search volume is high and I want to rank my main keyword for my site. Is this technique will work the same way? Or you can share some other tips to rank high search volume and competitive keywords.

This will work for anyone for anything. Even for the most toughest, most competitive keywords, you should be able to get it in top 100 at least. But it works better for long tails that aren't as competitive. That's why you should do some long tail research and find out which ones you can do this with.
Or you can share some other tips to rank high search volume and competitive keywords.
That's for another post, for another day.
This is amazing.
Glad you like it. Use it wisely! :)

Thanks for the great post! Can you say how much search volume does this keyword have? how many times your post ranked higher after doing this?

Welcome. Which keyword do you mean? The one used was just an example. I have no idea how much that particular one is searched. Generally longtails don't get as much as broad keywords do. Example "puppy training" will get searched more than "puppy training for dogs that can't use forks properly" will.
Amazing! Thank you! Will it works for every keywords or only longtail?
Welcome. It depends how tough the keyword competition is, for really tough ones where the top 50 results are being dominated then probably not. But for keywords that aren't so tough, definitely you can get it in the top 10 usually. As I said, this can be done with virtually ANYTHING. Have fun! :)

Yes the keyword you have used as an example: "how to get my puppy to jump on me". Google keywords planner shows search volumes for every keyword.

As said Sam, I have no idea because I didn't look on Keyword Planner. It was just an example from off the top of my head. :)
Google keywords planner shows search volumes for every keyword.
No really? :p

FYI Google Keyword Planner is no where near accurate mate. The results it provides are only general guesstimates. They are never accurate.

You cannot bank on Google Keyword Planner Tool's search volume metrics to be accurate.

Don't get me wrong its incredibly useful and since the change its improved a lot.

But there are other tools you should use it in conjunction with to get a more accurate idea of search volume.

But yeah, it was just an example sam! You should experiment using your own keywords/longtails etc!

I'm going to use this for nefarious spamming purposes to flood the search market with dietary supplements

There is no need to spam with this method Epic, if you do it right, it doesn't have to be spam. Please read my points as bulleted above not to spam with this method. Anyone can spam. But if you apply a little panache, a little extra thought, you can pull this off without spamming and still achieve the same results.

Just think upscale and outsource. ;)

hi,

Are you sure it is actually ranked 1st on Google ? or ranked first for your search ?

If you are logged in your account at google, they would mark it first because the fact you visited that link and consider its relevancy to you, not the actual ranking that other online people will see when they search

Very good that work for you.
Although want to ask if perhaps my keyword's search volume is increased and I want to rank my key keyword for my own site. Is this strategy will work the same way? Or else you can share a few other tips to rank high search volume and ambitious keywords.

Now, this is the kind of posts that I love to read. Well-written, full of information and personal tips mixed with pictures so it's easier to understand.

I have to admit that I've tried using Reddit before but it didn't work out to my wishes so finding it is extremely helpful and I can't wait to try it out myself.

One question though, why does it matter if the account is old with karma or completely new? Is it tougher to get the same results using a brand new account? if so, then I might try to buy one from Fiverr like you've suggested.

Thank you for the help and big thumbs up for the great post!

Well this looks like something great. I'd give it a try, but how long does this ranking last in fact? Does it last at all?
Because I'm afraid Google could push down one's link if there's anything suspicious or if there are more competitors.

This is surely a great post, but I have one question regarding this comment I saw

What he says makes sense, if you're logged in it might get the first result for you but not for someone who's on a different account, but anyway I better try it myself with some posts I've made :ertery:

This is a waste of time. First, it is never going to rank that fast for any worthwhile keyword. Hell, it didn't even for this ridiculous keyword.

Nobody searches for "how to get my puppy to jump on me". Nobody. Nobody does searches like that in quotes.

And even with a ridiculous long term phrase like that which nobody is competing for or searching for, it still did not work. The OP was showing personalized search results. That's why the listings were colored purple instead of blue.

Don't waste your time with this.

If you remove the quotes on the searched keyword, the search result may be different. You would be the richest webmaster here if you can get your Reddit posts to the very top in just 3 minutes on Google without quotes on the searched keywords.

I believe this just for medium or low competition keywords because with Reddit you can not get high rankings for some difficult keywords.
