There are many factors that may affect your ranking, obviously since you didn't provide any details (keywords etc) we won't be able to tell you what's wrong but initially if you are already on the first page of google, why not try to optimize your headlines so you'll get more clicks and traffic.

Sometimes headlines can make a big difference on traffic.

Are you sure that you have chosen the right set of keywords for your blog? Keywords for websites are different from those of blogs. 3 basic rules of blogging and making it to the top:
1) low competition but high turnout keywords
2) write authoritative content
3) promote your content via social media

In addition to this, make sure that you use a catchy title (needless to say that).

Its down to one primary factor and that is your competition is stronger than you... In order to beat them on the SERPs its down to this:

1) Get quality dofollow backlinks... Not the BS ones from sites where you can create accounts and upload content. You need backlinks on a website which G considers to have authority and which it trusts - ideally on the home page.. To help with that use metrics such as MOZ DA/PA, Majestic CF/TF etc.

2) Ensure you have good on-page SEO which incorporates silos which leverages internal links to funnel link juice to your various pages which targets chosen keywords.

3) Also ensure you have great content, perhaps include videos and above all make sure the website provides a great use experience e.g. nice layout, easy to read etc... This all helps with keeping your bounce rates down.

Out of the above - focus on backlinks as that will help you the most with improving your rankings on the serps... But as mentioned getting quality backlinks is not easy...

Best of luck!
