I am earning a little bit with blogs and adsense sites but from my point of view, web hosting field is a hot field to join and earning money online, even you are not a web hosting expert, just go for re-selling packages. is that right?

Yes and no, you need to have a lot of experience in the industry and know where and how to market your products. When you are first getting into it you want to present your business professionally, especially with the growing trend of people seeking reviews and investigating each business before signing up. Target a niche, you want to make a product that stands out from all others, be it one small feature that you offer or the type of support level that is offered.

Hosting is a pretty cut throat industry, there are a lot of us out there and it's really thinning out the heard when it comes to customer availability so it does take quite some effort at first to gain each customer.

Be sure to start with money, you don't want to enter into the market without any financial backing... Also, don't expect your business to be running in the green in the first 1-2 years; as I said, it takes time to establish a name and once it has been established then you should be golden..

The web hosting industry is very saturated. You will need lots of capital to spend on advertising - graphical wise, not AdWords. You will also need a niche.
Also, start with a reseller or VPS. Make sure you have a smartphone so you don't miss any tickets, you won't be able to afford staff in the first year.

A hot field to join? Back in 2000, it was a hot field to join, but it's very saturated and highly competitive today. I'd start with a reseller account to start and then upgrade as you need more resources.

Very saturated and highly competitive today, indeed, NOT to mention the amount of
support you would need to provide should you decide to go a "reseller" route. Even
as an affiliate simply promoting it, I would strongly suggest choosing something else
to promote.

I would definitely still become an affiliate and promote some hosting when appropriate,
however, I would definitely not make it the sold basis of your promotional efforts. Take
the time you would spend promoting hosting and find some higher end commission based
products and/or services and promote those instead...

Many people have the mindset that promoting high end products/services is more difficult
than lower end or lower priced products. NOTHING could be further from the truth.

Think of it this way...

Let's take web hosting and speed boats for example... (JUST an example, don't flame me, lol)

If you take a week to really promote either item, assuming you've done your research and
you are promoting to the right audience, at the end of the week, would you rather walk
away with a $3 hosting commission or a $3,000 payday from the speed boat?

No matter what you decide to promote, you have to do your homework. Why not really make
it worth your while...

I know a guy who does nothing but promote motor homes. He makes a KILLING. A know tons
of people who make a killing promoting lower end products as well, but again, think of how many
ebooks they'd have to promote (and earn a sale on) to equal commissions from just 1 motor home...

I know I went a tad off-topic (which is not surprising for me, LOL), but I am just trying to explain
that no matter what you decide to promote, if you work SMARTER, you won't have to work HARDER
and your commission checks will be BIGGER making your wallet (or purse) that much FATTER!

Hope this helps!

It can definitely be a very profitable field to get into, but as others have said, it is very competitive and there is a lot of competition.

I guess if you are willing to put the time in and do the proper promotion and marketing, you can do well. The thing is, you are going up against a lot of other people that are trying to flood the same market. I definitely think it's going to be harder to do well in than other fields/niche's.

Good Luck.

Web hosting is not a game--it's a business and if you can't do it on a professional level you will be doing yourself and your clients a disservice. Many businesses depend on their site being online and having proper backups etc. This is not something to be taken lightly....

Hosting requires lots of hard work and experience to provide quality services to client. So, its not that much of easy job to earn money online.
