DNS means Domain name Server or Domain name system. It is the distributed naming system for the computers. It is connected to the internet or a local network . It contains various information about domain names . It is one of an essential component of the internet . It also specifies the technical functionality of the database service. It is used to store DNS records such as MX(Mail exchange) records, C (Canonical)records and A(Aliases) records. The DNS helps to translate domain name to ip and locating/redirecting to the particular computer service.

Without Domain Name Server instead facebook.com we should write 173.252.110.27. So DNS is help for users, because its hard to remember many numbers.

The full form of DNS is domain name server, is a method within the set of requirements for how computer systems return information on the Online and on many personal systems, known as the TCP/IP method protocol.
And the job of DNS is to convert a user-friendly domain name that computer systems use to recognize each other on it.Computers and other system gadgets on the Online use an IP deal with to path your demand to the website you are trying to arrive at. This is just like calling a contact variety to get connected to the individual you are trying to contact.

DNS stands for “domain name system.” Domain names are the human-readable website addresses we use every day. For example, Google’s domain name is google.com. If you want to visit Google, you just need to enter google.com into your web browser’s address bar.
However, your computer doesnt understand where “google.com” is. Behind the scenes, the Internet and other networks use numerical IP addresses (“Internet protocol” addresses). Google.com is located at the IP address 173.194.39.78 on the Internet. If you typed this number into your web browser’s address bar, you’d also end up at Google’s website.

(DNS) Domain Name System is the protocol that provides the framework for web browsing.
The key role that DNS name servers play is in translating domain names into IP addresses.

The main function of DNS is to translate domain names into IP Addresses, which computers can understand. It also provides a list of mail servers which accept Emails for each domain name.

Each domain name in DNS will nominate a set of name servers to be authoritative for its DNS records. This is where all other name servers will be pointed when looking for information about the domain name
