Anyone try oculus vr headset?

I tried at the mall the other day.
It was pretty cool. I understand they are coming out with touch sensors, to make it more realistic. I think that will up the game.
But at $599 it was kind of 'do i really this need toy right now'

I plan to eventually get a set. They do look like a fun little toy to play with. But, I'll probably wait until the price starts dropping.

I have noticed many cellphone providers are now offering cell phones that include a free pair of VR goggles.

I have the Samsung Edge 7 VR headset, it is pretty cool but there is not a lot of software that support the actual VR functionality yet. It still gives you one hell of a screen to view videos, I mean it looks like a 105" display because that is all you see and the depth of field is really good with good color contrast.

I have gotten the API for the headset and am working on an APP. I want to add the development to one of my web engineering classes but we will see how much time it will take to develop and how it comes out.
