How to add an image with multiple links?

Hi,

I have been trying to add an image on the top of my blog post (WordPress) that can link to multiple sections on my page.

For example, the text I want to overlay on top of an image is

Please select a section below:

Section A Section B Section C Section D


Is there any easy way to do this? I am not very good at coding at all. but I did figure out how to link to each section of my page, I just can not figure out how to get it on top of an image.

You can slice the image and link each slice or create an HTML image map.

As Rob suggested above, you can split your image into multi images and making link for each one.

I just can not figure out how to get it on top of an image.

Using z-index and position in CSS can help you to put an image on others or putting more images at a same position.

With wordpress, You can use HTML image map or just create some images and put it close together and use a hyperlink for each of them

Perfect thanks, everyone. I don't have any software or anything to add text on top of my image though. Does anyone have any recommendations of a free program that is good for that?

Download the graphics program GIMP. Then look for a tutorial on how to add text to a graphic using GIMP.
