Have you monetized your channel, if you had one, and has it increased the amount of money you are paid every week from ad revenue, whether from YouTube itself, your website, or both? I wouldn't count on YT Ads to earn money with it. YT-Videos have the benefits of ranking good on low-competition keywords. If you know what you are doing, you can even rank multiple videos on the first page of Google, therefore getting a nice amount of traffic and selling affiliate offers or your own products via the videos.
