Hi all

What are the mistakes, which booming logo designers should avoid, if they are to not fall victim to a situation, where there are unsatisfied customers?

Seldom can see 'common mistake' for logo design, because logo design is very subjective to the client, you just need to follow what they want and require, follow their style and colorway and you should be fine.

Avoid to copy others designs it is the main thing which a good designer did not do. Try to keep your design unique. It is the simple thing but it has a very big meaning in the designing field.

Each one of us is unique in style and in taste. So does the design of logo or whatever it may be. So, I wouldn't agree if there's such a common mistake in the design of a logo. But it would probably be in the conception of it.

You make a valid point there Elmer and ordinarily that would be the case, but a lot of 'designers' these days use templates or logo making software - I guess there are only so many suitable combinations that can be used so we end up with a lot of dross. This does the client so much disservice and makes it harder for real designers.

You can guarantee thats what you will get if you pay 5 bucks for a logo btw.

Mistakes to avoid are -

* imitating your competitors' designs,
* making your design too complicated, thereby cluttering your design and ideas,
* too much color combination and poor choice of font (1-2 colors and simple font are better),
* lacking classic or universal appeal (must not rely on trends or fads but should stand thru test of time).

For logo design lots of people making some mistakes which are really ruined their logo making, this is why you should have to make your logo by your own style dont copy it from others but you can take concept from others. Customer choice is very important here sometimes logo makers cant understand the taste of the customer then problem is arise, so it should be fix. Compete with your competitors watch them which successful methods they are using, But dont copy from them because of it'll ruin your logo making. Colors and fonts are very important here, suppose you use lots of color and fonts in one logo then it wont looks good whatever it should be, Beside it, it will cost you up when you're going to print the logo. Make the simple logo design that people can understand easily, complexity can hamper your design.

So, these are some common mistakes which should be avoid as a logo designer.
