Domains Strategies

Hello to everyone,
I registered a CH domain to start an e-commerce in Switzerland. I also registered the COM extension to create a 301 redirect to the CH domain.

My question is, if after a while my target would be Europe, not just Switzerland, what could I do? The potential of my COM domain will be limited since it will forward CH, and CH is not good for Europe.
Maybe I’ll have to move my website from CH to COM and invert the redirect from CH to COM? How to do that without losing the CH domain rank? …or is there a better way?

What do experts say?
Thanks

I would use the .com as your main site. You could use country specific sites to funnel traffic to it. Maybe put country specific info on the ch site with links to the .com

Thanks to all of you
I’ll follow your suggestion, I’ll use COM as my main site.

And to make visible CH website in Switzerland, would be good to create redirect 301 to the COM site? Or should I create a different website with new contents and make links to the COM site?

I’m considering these two options because since what I know Google doesnt like 2 domains pointing to the same website nor duplicate contents (and I’m not so familiar with codes :bash:).

Thanks
