Hi First of all There is nothing much like a SEO Tip. However don't focus just on SEO.

1) First make a good site.
2) Redesign if u think it doesn't attract users
3) Don't do over SEO say placing many keywords here and there.
4) Most important is that you work on the content.
5) Don't put too much anchor text.
6) Navigation & SEO Based urls are the most important things in on page
7) When doing off page try to find relevant links, directories, few articles and few pr must be selected.

Try to work on a blog and get ur site promoted through that blog via many social networks.
