How to change my Root Password in Putty

I installed Putty and logged to my VPS, Can anyone guide me how to change the root password in Putty?

This is probably one of the most simple commands you'll learn. While logged in as your root user, run the following command.

passwd [enter]

After you enter this command, you will be prompted to enter your password twice. Once this has been done, your password will have been changed. By the way, don't actually type [enter].
