I'm in the beginning stages of researching the best options for having an integrated eCommerce store with a regular point of sale (POS) storefront. I love WordPress so my preference is to use WooCommerce. I have found a couple of plugins that allow for having WooCommerce be a POS system. e.g. [URLnf="https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-pos/"]woocommerce pos[/URLnf] and [URLnf="http://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-point-of-sale-pos/7869665"]woocommerce point of sale pos[/URLnf]

If this works as planned the inventory online and in the store will be synced perfectly and I'll save money on buying a POS system like Quickbooks POS $$$

Does anyone here have any experience running an eCommerce/retail operation?
Any recommendations on what platform to use? Cost is a factor but I also want something that works well and is easily customizable.
Thank you :DD:

woocommerce point of sale (pos) is a powerful e-commerce solution. The team at Actuality Extensions have built a plugin that once you open the cash register you can select a customer, select products from tiles which can be set as colors or images and then the totals are added up with discounts easily added. That’s not all though as my favorite feature is that for the price of a cheap handheld barcode scanner you can scan your products out at the till just like any other physical store. The plugin itself has a very simple install and can be set up in about ten minutes.

So it's not too good to be true :) Thanks Hassan! I will keep WooCommerce and the POS plugin in my planning.

I have one more related task... Connecting WooCommerce to Quickbooks.

What is the best plugin to automate this process and what is the lowest priced version of Quickbooks that would be compatible with this?

Thank you!

Thank you looks like this might work well. From reading the description I can't tell if I need to manually sync things or if it does it automatically since it connects to desktop versions of Quickbooks. I'll dive into this more and figure it out. Great find! Thanks :)
