It is not recommended to use AdSense on image sites?

Hi guys,
I don't know this is true or false if I build an image site for sharing image or download photos. It is not recommended to use AdSense on type of these sites?
please advise me.

i think adsense would do best on niche sites or sites with lots of text relevant to the niche/topic.

if you build a site full of random images, you could of course try it out, but also test other ad companies and really just chose what gets you the most money.
