How to check if affiliates refer themselves and earn commission on their own purchases?

How can you deal with that?

Most affiliate will not accept that. some affiliate require you to make two sales first to get your commission, so even if you sell yourself you will have to wait. I do not know if some affiliate allow! As solution, you may ask your friend to make an affiliate link and give it to you, and you buy from your friend link so that your friend will get the commission. oh by the way, do not forget to make a deal with your friend first. :shake:

That's actually considered to be affiliate fraud; and as such it will be in the terms and conditions of most affiliate program that it is not allowed. By doing so, you risk losing all of your affiliate commissions... Always read the Terms and Conditions before doing anything to protect yourself.

Most affiliate systems will nullify the sale...amazon is extremely good at doing this based on IP addresses, etc. They will disallow any sale to you, friends, or family.

The IP address is the main source which helps to track the affiliates. Even they bypass VPNs to track your affiliate program. So it is always safe not to promote your own affiliate and waste your time with zero sales.
