Is it necessary to put Post by in your blog posts?

I am working on my wordpress theme and wondering that it can affect a bit more on SEO ranking or user experience if I put Post by under each blog post?

I checked some blogs and they used to include their profile under each blog post, should we do that?

I think he means if it is wise that every post should finish with a "about the author" section.

First of all, branding wise, I believe it's a good thing. This way you are branding yourself to your audience and people are getting familiar with you and are more likely to follow you which results for example in more open rates from your emails which then causes more traffic on your website. (Which could be a good thing for seo)

People love to follow people, so also make sure you have a good profile picture where people can see your face. The avatar that you are using on this forum would be a no go for it ;-)

If you are referring to the Author part after each post, I would say Yes. Its definitely a good idea, especially if you begin looking for guest posters. They will want an Author section for sure.
