What are easy steps to create an ebook cover? I have a small ebook with 56 pages and want to have a professional cover for it, which software should I use and how to create?

I always advice to let others work for you if possible. This way you have more time to focus on your strategies. So another thing you could think of is to to outsource it on Fiverr. Search for Ebook Cover on Fiverr and you will get tons of peeps who provide this service.

Just go through their portfolio and see if you like it. This way you will have your Ebook cover for just 5 bucks.

Tim Dutch suggests Fiverr. Upwork.com could be another option if you're looking for more quality. Yet another option is 99designs, and the envato marketplace -- there is a designer's section.

Fiverr is the most cost-effective option I'm aware of, but you may get people who are trying to shave off work by using a template instead of spending the time to design something eye catching. I've found both great designers and people who are using templates and don't put forth the effort for the money you are handing them.

Covers are the most important for an ebook - the color, the title and any slogan that is on it. Since there is no physical product to touch, it's critical to spend more time on the title and the cover itself.

What you can do is to get photoshop (it has a 30 days trial) or gimp (which is free), get a few PSD ebook cover design templates. You can get them pretty cheap on graphicriver.net or search for free ones online. But just get as many as you can.

Play around with the templates and mix them up if you have to, simply do everything you can to make it as original as possible. When you get stuck simply go to Youtube and search for a fix.

Once you have the design part sorted then download some "cover actions" online, learn how to use them and you're done.
