How To Have Your Own Payment Gateway?

There are a lot of different reasons why businesses may want to have their own payment gateways. Some of them want to reduce processing costs, other want to get the full control over the process and to obtain the possibility to provide other businesses with payment processing services.

There are two different approaches which can be utilized. You can either build a payment gateway from scratch or license a white label open source solution. The majority of merchants today choose the second option. So what are the advantages of a white label payment gateway? And how can a business benefit from it?

But what is your point of view? Would you use a white label solution?

I think their would be more advantages in writing your own rather than going with a white label solution if you ask me.

I would use a white label solution yes but it would depend on how easily brandable it was and what the features/ins/outs of it were.
