This is not a real fact that site loading speed impacts keyword ranking. Even Google employees have accepted the concept that they consider website loading time but no one of them have mentioned that it impacts website keyword ranking. It just a myth.

If your website have a good bounce rate it must be affected on site ranking and your site must have a good bounce rate if you get a good ranking from Google.

Could any one tell me that the website speed impacted search ranking? is it true? As sites with more images do load more slowly but they are getting good rankings. why?

Your comments would be appreciated!
Google announced that page speed or bounce rate would impact your website ranking. Page speed will be your ranking factor mobile search also.

That might be true.. but todays users will surely abandon a website with slow page load.. so, it will suffer from engagement and views per visitor.. and a high bounce rate, which does affect google ranking.
Bounce rate is not a ranking factor.

That's a lie. Google has never announced that bounce rate impacts rankings. Never.

Though Page speed influences the search ranking as it is discussed, it is not the only factor that determines the SERP. Apart from ranking, your website traffic largely depends on the user experience. Whether it influences ranking or not, your traffic and bounce rate are certainly influenced by page speed. Hence page speed is the one of important factor for any website.

You first need to learn how hard it is before you speed up your website. Fortunately, there are many free tools to test the pace of your website. Below are three of the best metrics to calculate the pace of your website:

our website load speed is important for a couple of reasons.

Users like fast, convenient websites and so does Google. A site with web pages that load fast leads to good UX or user experience, and a substantial UX results to higher conversion.

A fast site has an affects on the UX of your users. A negative UX e.g. if your users have to wait longer to get what they want can result in revenue loss. These users will close your website instantly. And most of all, a website page that loads too slow is penalized by search engines and can affect your ranking, may it be on a desktop or mobile devices.

You will get what you pay for. Ultimately, a cheap offer can wreak havoc on your loading speed as time goes by. So, make sure to opt for the appropriate host that’s suitable for your business needs.

Many ads can bother site visitors and have the knack to reduce the loading speed of your page.

SEO or search engine optimization has a lot of moving components and is affected by numerous occurrences online. Through the years, Google and many search engines strive hard to provide the end-users optimum and useful information online to their fingertips. However, this doesnt include your content. Search Engine Optimization can also be affected by your website. Among the latest and vital factor of your website, strength is the page speed.

Fast sites prevents users from "pogo sticking".
Lol. No it doesn't. If users don't find what they are looking for, they are still going to do it.

I want to added one more important point from user point of view:

As we all know, no one likes to wait for a fraction second, if your website getting more time to load, surely user will immediate shift to another result/website.
That is a bunch of crap. Really, how many times do you leave a page because it is not loading in 2 seconds?

As long as the site loading speed is better than or equal to 3 seconds you are in the safe zone.
The site loading speed is one of the 200 factors that are present.
And certainly not every factor is given the same weight.
Hence, ensure that your site loading speed is around 3 seconds.

The mobile-first algorithm analyzes how fast does your page loads in the browser. If your page loads painfully slow, your customers are likely to bounce off and hence decrease the chances of ranking higher. Page load speeds are concerned with providing great user experience. Low page loading speeds indicates bad user experience and hence affects the search ranking.

After the new update of Google. website speed play at important role in search rankings. The low-speed website provides a negative response from the user. And we all know that Google never likes bad user experience. Slow speed is the major factor in increasing the bounce rate.

Even if the speed of the website does not directly affect the ranking, it is one of the factors, as you will lose customers if your site is painfully slow. People do not want to wait for a long time for your website pages to load. We are always in a hurry and we like things fast.

no doubt it is very important the speed, in my opinion is the essential thing a slow site is not only that google would not index it well for mobile devices, but also the visitors themselves would remove the page before even viewing it. my advice is to use a very popular cdn like cloudflare this will guarantee you for sure a higher loading speed and essential protection.

If what you're saying is true, then what's the use of having meta descriptions on your site? As for my personal experience, having a well detailed descriptions and titles makes every user click for it. However, having a very slow page can turn around things, like users "pogo sticking" to SERP.

Actually increasing page speed doesn't affect search rankings. But indirectly it will effect because if page speed is very low definitely bounce rate will increase. So we can conclude that improving page speed is important for better rankings.
