How to learn Wordpress to build your own sites?

Hey everyone!!

I am not new here and just learning Wordpress. I want to know how to learn Wordpress effectively and building your own sites without hiring any freelancers out there. where are best places/ways I have to go?

Please share your suggestions. Thanks

I use WordPress on a lot of my sites and how I got started (about 2 years ago) was to just do a 1-click install on my hosting, then just go in and try things out. It's not that hard to learn, but if you are new to it then it can be intimidating.

If you get stuck or need some information, just do a Google search and you can find out just about anything you need. There are also lots of video's on YouTube that can be very helpful.

I would just set up a site and test it out. Try do do a backup before you go making any major changes and that way if something goes wrong, you can just restore the backup and pick up where you left off.

Also, take lost of notes on things you figure out or learn. It makes it easier for the next time you need it.

Always the best for me. Mess around with it, have a test site so it you break something it's not a big deal.

Your question is kind of vague though. Depends on what you plan to "build". You might need to learn about theme's or maybe more about plugins.
