What is an affordable backup andriod phone?

Just encase my Samsung breaks, I would like advice on android phones for around $50

Any suggestions?

Hi there! My best bet on this are actually 2: the Alcatel One Touch C1 and the ZTE Zinger. Have tried them both (one of my cousins is currently using it) and have been impressed with the phone's features.

I can verify what FreebieBoy said. Alcatel One Touch is a decent back-up. However, if your concern is the main one breaking, you should probably just utilize the built-in cloud storage services and a screen protector / case combination. The cloud services are virtually indestructible

Samsung galaxy s3 mini. it's small but it packs a punch and it will last you many many years as a backup.
