I agree with you on this point but that will require more effect than starting in the past because nowadays, competition is more violent.

It is never too late. It is never late as far as one is alive. The world keeps revolving.

I will even say it is now easier. 10 years ago, there were not many resources like you have it today. Now you can do most things online. You can sign up at Fiverr and list some Gigs if you have some skills. Just get someone who is earning money online and that person can show you what he is doing. This will cut down on the learning curve and save you a lot of time. Pay the person if you have to.

I don't think this is late to start making money online. Yes it is difficult nowadays as it takes longer to build a website and rank it on Google. Years ago ranking a website was easier. However you can still make a lot of money now from various different online activities. There are still people who are now building successful websites that generate thousands of dollars online on a monthly basis. So it's never late. You can start anytime you want.

8 years ago was the right time to create a niche site, but for the people who did create a niche site 8 years ago. Maybe it still might work now, but the best times for it are behind, the same way the best times for PPC, banners, spinning articles, social media influencers, even spam and porn and scams and blackhat seo and other shady tactics, are probably behind them. The same way FB ads or clickfunnels or what have you might be a good ROI now. There are always methods with the best leverage for the least amount of effort put into it. Our job is to figure that out, because there's always something that is easy to earn from now but it's not widely known yet (probably that's why it's easy to earn from, when everyone starts doing it it becomes less effective).

I would encourage you to think in that direction. Don't want to tell you not to try doing a niche site, who knows it may work out well for you, but it seems like looking backwards instead of looking forward. Look at the rising trends, but also experiment a lot and think for yourself, success will be somewhere in there.

You're mostly right, except the best time to make money online was earlier, say around 2003. This was when Web 2.0 was the new technology back then, Adsense was all the rage, and blogging became the new fad.

To answer your question, no it's not too late to make money online. The game has changed a lot since then but you will have to adapt. 10 years ago, anyone can put up a blog and make easy money off of Adsense. Then drive traffic to their blogs through Web 2.0 sites, article directories, and press releases. Now, instead of through these mediums, ideally it's best to drive traffic from social media.
