Most profitable languages for translation jobs?

Knowing a language can be a precious resource, especially on the internet. It's easy to turn translation skills into money, but maximising said income is a totally different deal.

In your experience, what languages have been the most profitable for translation jobs? What languages are worth learning if you want to get in this niche? Or, put in other words, if you could go back what language(s) would you learn for this kind of work?

No doubt Arabic is most profitable language, because Arab countries are considered as most rich countries. But Japanese are on 2nd position, because it is very tough like Chinese. But there are very less person who knows how to speak Japanese as compared to Chinese.
