Guest Posting and Paid Links

Google hates paid links. Nonetheless, it seems like guest posting is a legal way to get paid links (much like directories are). In fact, guest posting is the new link buying market. Anyway, though, am I missing something? Guest positng couldn't really be paid links, otherwise, Google would get wise to it and punish it. If they didn't then money would take precedence over quality, right? However, though, it does seem like it takes money to buy content, so that argument is sort of irrelevant.

What Google hates are link schemes for the purpose of manipulating PageRank.

That's odd you said that because Google doesn't have PageRank anymore, at least not publically. However, though, Google does hate scheme to increase rank, regardless of PageRank being in existance or not.

Of course they still use it. PageRank was never a 3rd party metric. Their algorithm has always been based around PageRank.

It's WHY they stopped sharing the data publicly. They wanted to make it harder to manipulate the algorithm.

That's not quite correct statement, because if you would buy links you would aim for quality ones anyway. So technically yes, if you got good budget you will get quality links.

No, Google doesn't hate paid links. It just wants people to use No Follow attribute to denote paid links.

Guest posting is an good idea, although it's time consuming to write for these websites, but the link juice you gonna get is for long time period and it will also help you with your writing skills and if you keep this thing up, you won't be needing paid links.
