I think the gaming industry is still very profitable, but it has changed a lot over the years. Big studios continue to make huge profits from AAA titles, but indie developers are also finding success thanks to digital platforms and early access models. At the same time, competition is tough, and not every game makes it. I’ve noticed that games with strong communities and regular updates tend to do best. Live service games and those with microtransactions seem to be dominating now, though it’s a bit of a double-edged sword for players. What do you all think — is the industry heading in the right direction, or are we losing something along the way?

I'm delving into the world of gaming and pondering a common question: Is the gaming industry still a profitable venture? I'm eager to tap into the collective wisdom of this community and hear diverse perspectives. If you have insights, experiences, or data regarding the current profitability of the gaming industry, I'd love to hear from you!
Absolutely, the gaming industry is still a massively profitable venture, and it's only growing! With the rise of mobile gaming, esports, cloud gaming, and even VR/AR, there are tons of opportunities. Big studios and indie developers alike are making serious money, especially with in-game purchases, subscriptions, and digital sales. That said, competition is fierce, and success depends on innovation, marketing, and understanding what players want. If you’re thinking of getting into it, whether as a developer, streamer, or investor, there’s definitely money to be made—but strategy is key!
