Approach your new hosting Provider they will transfer your site for free as many hosting providers offers free website transfer.

That depends entirely on the site. Some are simple html uploads that can be done in 2 minutes, while others can be a pain and take some time, like a WP site with lots of plugins, large DB, posts, etc...

Most hosting companies will do if for you, if you contact support. Sometimes it will be free, if within a specified time frame, while others will charge you. I recently had Hostgator move 3 of my larger sites that would have been a headache if I had done it myself and they only charged me $37. That's a reasonable cost for me not having the hassle myself.

Recently, I moved my website to a different hosting provider. I switched from Namecheap to Bluehost, and I'm not sure who your current hosting company is or where you want to go from here.

You may be astonished to learn that I was able to transfer my website by following a few easy procedures.

There are a few things I've done in my Namecheap account.

Step-1
Transfer a Domain-1.jpg

Step-2

Transfer a Domain-2.jpg

Step-3

Transfer a Domain-3.jpg

Step-4

Transfer a Domain-4.jpg

Step-5

Transfer a Domain-5.jpg

Once you've completed the chores mentioned above, you don't have to rush to complete the remaining ones! I apologize for not showing you what I have done on Bluehost at this time., but I urge you to follow this Article from Bluehost. https://www.bluehost.com/help/article/transfer-your-domain-to-us. I believe that this essay demonstrates the whole thing.

This can take up to 24 hours, but normally it'll only take 30-60 minutes. Once the change takes effect, you should be able to access the version of your site at your new host when you go to your domain name.

I apologize for not being able to respond to your second inquiry. And, since I was unable to change the last response, here is my other reply.

The site transfer from one hosting provider to another took me around three days to accomplish the task.

You can contact your new hosting provider they transfer your website safely without losing any data. As they are an expert team for migrating websites from old hosting to new hosting providers.

When you migrate a website to a different web host, you need to:

  • buy and activate new web hosting accounts,
  • Transfer all site files - including databases and email accounts,
  • install and configure your application on the new host,
  • check new site on staging/temp url,
  • Troubleshooting if there are any errors, and
  • Point your DNS records to your new web host
You can either outsource these tasks to your new hosting company (many will do this for free) or you can move your sites manually.

One important thing is that after transferring your website to the new host, you’ll need to update your DNS information with your domain registrar. This change typically takes 48 hours (two days), at which point your site will load from the new web host.

Changing hosting providers typically involves the following steps: 1) selecting a new hosting service, 2) transferring your website files and databases, 3) updating your domain's DNS settings, and 4) ensuring your email settings are properly configured if you use email services provided by your host. The time it takes depends on the size of your website, the efficiency of the transfer process, and DNS propagation. It can range from a few hours to a couple of days. While the process may seem daunting, many hosting providers offer migration assistance or one-click migration tools, simplifying the transition. However, it's essential to back up your data beforehand to avoid potential data loss.

Most of cloud and shared hosting providers will help you with the transfer, transfer is usually no downtime process if the control panels are same, if your host has good support they will do it in no time.

The time it takes to move your website to a different hosting provider can vary depending on the size and complexity of your site. In general, it can take anywhere from a few days to a week to complete the migration process. The difficulty level of moving your website largely depends on your technical expertise and familiarity with the process. If you are comfortable working with website files and databases, you may find it relatively easy. But, if you are not familiar with these processes, you may need to seek assistance from a professional or your new hosting provider.
