I'm perplexed when I hear that .net, php, and other programming languages are the best for web development. But they are not sure of its security! For that reason, I am starting this discussion for everyone who can answer my query.

I don't think it matters much, as long as you test for vulnerabilities to make sure your website is secure.

I suppose PHP is popular and easy to develop web systems hence it should be choose. In the other hands, if you want to have more security on the programming language then it depends on your skills to make your systems secure, it don't belong to what language you choose.

When I started delving into web development, security was a top priority. I found that .NET and PHP, when used properly with secure coding practices, can actually bolster website security.

For web development and security, languages like Python, JavaScript, and Java are popular options due to their robust frameworks and security features. Additionally, frameworks such as Django (Python), Node.js (JavaScript), and Spring Boot (Java) provide built-in security mechanisms and community support for secure web application development.

JavaScript is the most commonly used language for web development due to its versatility and ability to run on both the client and server side. For security, using a combination of JavaScript for client-side validation and server-side languages like PHP for backend processes can help improve security measures. Additionally, integrating security frameworks like OWASP can further enhance security in web development projects.

For web development with a strong focus on security, languages such as Ruby, PHP, and Go are excellent choices.

Ruby, especially with the Rails framework, emphasizes convention over configuration, which can help prevent common security pitfalls. PHP, while often criticized, has evolved significantly with frameworks like Laravel that incorporate security features like protection against SQL injection and cross-site scripting.

Go is known for its performance and simplicity, and it includes built-in features that aid in creating secure applications, making it a solid option for developing secure web services.
